Keep Judge Judy Warne

Dear Harris County Voter:

First of all, let me thank so many of you for the tireless efforts during the last year of my re-election campaign. Many of you have dedicated time and money to this effort and I really appreciate it. We are now well into the last 90 days of the campaign. It is more important than ever that we stay focused on the task at hand.

The Harris County ballot for November 2 of this year is expected to be the longest in history, in part because of the massive number of contested judicial races on it. You all know how significant a judge’s impact can be on your life, and after 2008, you all know that your personal vote really does make a difference. In 2008, we had more than 1 judge win or lose in Harris County by less than 200 votes in an election that had over 1 million votes cast. In March of this year, one family court candidate avoided a run-off in a 4 way race by less than 100 votes—that is fewer than 1 vote for every 10 precincts. Getting to the polls matters and it matters a lot in the judicial races.

Here are just a few ways you can still help—If you are not registered to vote, you may do so up until October 4, 2010. If you would like to send information to your clients or friends, email the campaign at judgejudy@keepjudgejudy.net, tell me what you need [yard signs, information cards, etc.] and we will get it to you. If you would like to work the polling place in your precinct, email me your precinct number and I will get further information to you as well. The MOST SIGNIFICANT thing that you can do right now is pledge to get 20 of your friends to vote for me. The campaign has pre-printed and stamped postcards for you to sign and mail to your client list, Christmas card list, family, etc. If you would like some of these postcards, email the campaign NOW so that we can get them to you in time to do an effective mailing. If you would like unstamped post-cards that you can stamp as needed and mail, or hand deliver, please let me know that as well and I will give you instructions on how the postage will be reported as a campaign contribution. If you come to one of the scheduled neighborhood events, some of these materials, along with yard signs, will be available. The postcards should be mailed no later than October 1, as early voting BEGINS OCTOBER 18.

As you can see from the endorsements section of this website, I enjoy the endorsement of every bar association that has endorsed in my race, as well as law enforcement and firefighters and several other groups. Your support of my re-election campaign means just as much and is greatly appreciated. I assure you that I will do everything to continue to deserve that support and the respect that I have been afforded by the bench and bar for over 25 years. Let’s roll up our sleeves for that last push to KEEP JUDGE JUDY!!

Regards,
Judge Judy Warne
